Guidelines for using Path Builder safely

By using Path Builder, you agree to:

  • Use the platform for legitimate recovery and support purposes only
  • Provide accurate and truthful information
  • Respect the privacy and dignity of other users
  • Maintain confidentiality of shared experiences within support groups
  • Not share content that could harm, harass, or discriminate against others
  • Not use the platform to promote substance use or relapse
  • Not solicit or distribute controlled substances
  • Not share explicit, violent, or harmful content

Child Protection Policy

Zero tolerance — strict enforcement

⚠️ Path Builder enforces a strict zero-tolerance child protection policy. Violations result in immediate permanent account termination and mandatory reporting to law enforcement.

Age Requirements:

  • Users must be 18 years or older to use Path Builder without parental consent
  • Users aged 13–17 must have verified parental or guardian consent
  • Users under 13 are strictly prohibited from using the platform

Strictly Prohibited:

  • Any form of child exploitation, abuse, or endangerment content (CSAM)
  • Soliciting personal information from minors
  • Grooming, inappropriate contact, or sexual communications with minors
  • Sharing content that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits children in any way
  • Facilitating contact between adults and minors outside safe platform structures

🚨 Any suspected child abuse, CSAM, or endangerment is immediately and automatically reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline and relevant law enforcement authorities. We cooperate fully with all investigations.

Prohibited Practices

  • Impersonation: Pretending to be another person, counselor, or organization
  • False credentials: Claiming professional qualifications you don't possess
  • Misleading health claims: Providing false medical or recovery advice
  • Fraudulent schemes: Scams, pyramid schemes, or financial exploitation
  • Identity fraud: Using stolen or fabricated identification
  • Spam and manipulation: Automated bots or deceptive marketing

Enforcement & Consequences

First offense:Warning + content removal
Second offense:Temporary suspension (7–30 days)
Serious violations:Immediate permanent ban + legal reporting
Child protection violations:Immediate permanent ban + mandatory NCMEC report

Account suspensions may be appealed via support within 30 days. Final decisions rest with Path Builder administration.
